■ BOWERS & Pitsea thrashed Takeley at the Len Salmon Stadium as their push for promotion continued to gather momentum.
Takeley struggled to cope with their hosts from the outset and fell behind after just five minutes when Michael Bareck opened the scoring, continuing his fine run of form.
After 16 minutes, Bowers doubled their advantage, with Bareck turning provider as he teed up Jon Evans to fire past Takeley goalkeeper Jarvis Monk.
