A SUNNY day on the south coast sadly only gifted a dull game as Margate edged Hastings in a poor display of football from both sides.
The first half was slow, as both teams had a few half chances, but the end product was lacking.
As the half wore on, the best chance fell to the visitors, with a lovely lifted shot beating a crowded box of players including the Hastings keeper, but the bar denied the celebrations.
