City of Liverpool and Irlam fought out an entertaining 2-2 draw, with a late John McGrath equaliser from the penalty spot salvaging a point for the Purps, while Northwich Victoria were proving their value as early season favourites with a 4-1 home demolition of Winsford United, a Joel Brownhill brace doing most of the damage.
