Match Preview: Runcorn Linnets v Hednesford Town (Saturday, 3pm)

Relegation candidates Hednesford Town face a challenge away against high-flying Runcorn Linnets on Saturday.

Hednesford Town are 19th in the Northern Premier League Division One – West table, and have picked up five wins and eight draws in their 28 games to date.

Runcorn Linnets, meanwhile, are third in the standings with 49 points, having won 15 and drawn four of their first 27 matches, and are seven points behind table-toppers Leek Town.

With 45 goals in 27 games so far this season, Runcorn Linnets are the league’s joint-third-highest scorers with 1.7 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 29 goals at a rate of 1.1 per game.
