IT is my first match of the 2017-18 season today; a European warm-up friendly between Bala and Linfield. I have visited Maes Tegid before, of course, but there is an oppor tunity of a bonus morning out in beautiful mid-Welsh countryside before the g ame. They’ve also installed a plastic pitch since I last g raced them with my presence.
It couldn’t have been a better day as The Fox and I set off from Nottingham. We had a couple of hours to take in the stunning RSPB reserve at Lake Vrynwy (don’t ask me how to pronounce it) and then a breath...
