BASILDON United got their season off to an excellent start as they were comfortable winners over highly-fancied Clapton at the Stuart Bingham Stadium.
The Bees’ defence was rarely put under pressure throughout the 90 minutes and the only save Connor Wheatley was forced to make came in the last couple of minutes.
