COLIN LANDS A TOP AWARD

CLUB stalwart Colin Howkins has been rewarded by the Spartan South Midlands Football League for 50 years of dedicated service to Buckingham Athletic, now Buckingham FC.
Howkins first joined the club as a left-back in 1974 and embarked on a 12-year playing career.
From there, he undertook numerous different admninistrtative roles at the club, serving on the committee as well as club secretary.
Howkins said: “To do 50 years at one club shows how much I have loved this club. To have played and then see two of my sons play in the first team has made me very proud.”
