DUDLEY Town are holding talks about a potential takeover, amid calls for the Midland Premier club to return to their home town after nearly four decades away.
Dudley Council say a potential site for a new stadium has been identified, prompting Labour MP Sonia Kumar to set up a petition to bring the club home.
The Robins left their Sports Ground home in Dudley in 1986 after mine workings under the adjacent cricket ground collapsed.
A club statement said: “We are currently in dialogue with an undisclosed party regarding a potential takeover.”
