THE 2025 North West Counties League Champions Cup fixture between Bury and Charnock Richard has been cancelled due to Bury not being able to raise a side.
The game – pitting the Premier Division title winners Bury and League Challenge Cup winners Charnock Richard – is the annual curtain-raiser for the new 2025-26 season.
It was due to be held at Bury’s Gigg Lane tomorrow night.
But now the Step 4 new boys say they have insufficient player availability on that night due to players being at work and on holiday.
