PETER BEADLE has been promoted to first team boss at Skrill Premier strugglers Hereford United on a caretaker basis.

The Bulls’ youth team boss, who has had a spell in charge of Newport County, will now take charge of the first team, replacing Martin Foyle who left alongside assistant Andy Porter yesterday.

Beadle, who took the Bulls youth team to the fourth round of this season’s FA Youth Cup, has a tough job on his hands.

Hereford are just four points above the relegation zone and are without a win in ten league games. They also have financial troubles, with the club claiming on Monday they need £300,000 to finish the season.

The former Gillingham, Bristol Rovers and Bristol City player will have ex-youth team assistant Steve Jenkins as his number two with non-executive director Colin Addison taking a closer involvement in first-team affairs.
