Torquay United board outline commitment as they search for new boss

'S board of directors have confirmed their commitment to the struggling club, after seeing manager and director of Dean Edwards both quit.

Edwards, who led a consortium who took over the club in the summer, walked away from his role on Monday. Two weeks ago he said the Gulls could go out of business.

The Plainmoor outfit, currently 18th in the league, are now searching for a new boss with caretaker manager John Ramshaw taking charge of tonight's (Tuesday) game against .

“The directors of would like to assure the loyal Yellow Army that their commitment to the cause has not waned and the events of the last few weeks has only reinforced their spirit and galvanised them as a board,” a statement said.

“The board would like to reassure the supporters that they are still dedicated and are working towards ensuring that Torquay United FC is sustainable for future generations to enjoy.
