TRANMERE ROVERS have secured the permanent signing of central defender Steve McNulty from Luton Town.
McNulty, 32, was a big part of the Hatters side that won the Conference title in 2013-14 and he’s also won promotion with Fleetwood Town.
He joined Tranmere on loan in October to be closer to his family in Bootle and he has now signed permanently for Gary Brabin’s side.
He will remain at Prenton Park until the end of the 2016-17 season after impressing in his first 12 appearances for the Vanarama National League club.
Boss Brabin said: “I’m really pleased that we’ve agreed a permanent deal with Steve to remain at the club.
“He’s a leader, has experience of promotions out of this league and has done really well in the couple of months that he has been here. He has settled in nicely with the rest of the squad and I’m delighted to extend his stay at the club.”
