SOUTHPORT have increased their defensive options by signing Rochdale teenager Neill Byrne on loan.
The Irish 19-year-old has already spent time on loan in the Conference Premier this season, making one appearance while with Barrow.
Commenting on the Irishman’s arrival, Southport boss Liam Watson told the club’s website: “Neill is a very talented young defender, he comes with very good recommendations.
“He will get vital experience at Blue Square Bet Premier level while here.”
