CAMBRIDGE UNITED have secured the long-term future of Tom Elliot – the striker described as the club’s “biggest asset” by manager Richard Money.
The 23-year-old joined the U’s from their Blue Square Bet Premier rivals Stockport County last summer and has since netted 13 goals in 23 league games.
He signed a two-year deal last year but has now extended his stay at the Abbey until the summer of 2015.
Speaking to BBC Radio Cambridgeshire about the club’s top scorer, Richard Money told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: “He’s the biggest asset this football club has.”
And the club’s director of football, Jez George told the club’s website: “This is the first part of the process of constructing a team and a squad capable of challenging for promotion next season.
