STRIKER Richard Brodie has had his loan spell with Grimsby Town cut short and returned to parent club Crawley Town.
The 25-year-old frontman joined the Mariners in January and went on to score twice in 10 Blue Square Bet Premier club.
He also featured in Grimsby’s run to the final of the FA Trophy and featured as a 87th-minute substitute in yesterday’s showpiece final at Wembley.
However, he is unlikely to remember the day fondly, as he ballooned his spot-kick over the bar during the penalty shoot out and finished on the losing side.
Grimsby say the former York forward’s return to Broadfield was “mutually agreed”.
