STRIKER Scott Boden has signed for Macclesfield Town following a successful trial with the Conference Premier club.
The 23-year-old began his career with Sheffield United but made his senior debut while on loan at Finnish side IFK Mariehamn in 2008.
Boden was released by the Blades later that year and subsequently joined League Two outfit Chesterfield.
He went on to make over 100 appearances for the Spireites but the vast majority of those came from the bench and he also spent time at Macclesfield in 2011 and Alfreton Town last season.
His performances in Macc’s pre-season campaign have now seen him return to Moss Rose on a permanent one-year contract.
