Wall Hoping For Reduced Punishment

LUTON TOWN are appealing the length of suspension Alex Wall is set to serve for being sent off against Wrexham on Friday.

The striker saw red for a high-challenge on Neil Ashton with 10 minutes left of what proved to be a 2-0 defeat.

Luton are not disputing the red card itself but hope that they will have Wall’s three-game ban reduced as they feel that is too severe a punishment for his actions.

Wall, who initially joined the Hatters from Maidenhead United on loan in March, had come on as a 61st-minute substitute for what was his third Conference Premier appearance of the season.

Luton – 14th in the Skrill Premier after eight games – host Dartford at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday evening.
