A superb second-half hat-trick from top scorer Matt Rush handed promotion hopefuls Boreham Wood a comprehensive victory to end Hartlepool United’s play-off hopes.
The 25-year-old’s first Wood treble took his goal total for the season to 28, while keeping his side fourth in the table.
“I’m absolutely delighted,” Rush told The NLP. “However, it is a team effort and with the players around me creating chances, I just have to be in the right area.”
