Essex Senior League Round Up (September 8, 2012)

Bowers & Pitsea doubled their goal tally for the season as they beat Sawbridgeworth 6-2. There were two goals each from Brad Woolmer and Calvin Poku and one each for Callum Leahy and George Selby.

Sawbridgeworth’s consolation goals came from Scott Williams and James Whitbread.

Burnham Ramblers hit five without reply as they crushed London APSA 5-0, with Brad Hunter and Ross Walls each scoring two and Ricky Evans getting the other.

Bethnal Green United surprised Great Wakering Rovers 2-0 with first-half goals from Anton Stephenson and Ashley Douglas.

London Bari left it until the last minute to score the only goal of the game to beat Barkingside. Brad Drisdale was their goal hero.

Jack Leachman and Chetin Ali were on target as Eton Manor won 2-1 at Hullbridge Sports. Sam Taylor scored Hullbridge’s goal.

And there were two 2-2 draws. Enfield 1893 were twice pegged back at Barking. Enfield’s Tom Hopkins and Tom Chapman saw their efforts cancelled out by Ben Jones and Petrit Elbi for Barking.

Stansted twice came from behind to share the spoils at home to Sporting Bengal United, for whom Stephen Forbes scored twice. Dave Ratcliffe grabbed the first equaliser and Aaron Clarke scored the other.
