Dorset Premier League Round Up February 17

Holt United sit top of the pile following their 2-1 away win over Reserves.

Tim Littler and Liam MvGlynn grabbed the goals for Holt, while netting for Sherborne was Antony Cunningham. It was Sherborne's 12th defeat and they stay in the bottom two.

Holt are one point ahead of second-placed Portland, who won 1-0 at home to Wareham. However, Portland, whose winner came from Ryan Mckechnie, have three games in hand of their title rivals.

moved into the top three after a 5-1 win against at Parley Sports. Matthew Chant scored twice for Town, while Reynold Turnock, Daniel Golden and Luke Stephens got the other goals. Tobias Holmes scored Parley's only goal in the 34th minute.

Tintinhull climbed into the top six after hammering Poole Borough 5-0. Adam Clements netted a brace with goals in the 25th and 52nd minute; Oliver Pearson, Luke Jennings and Jon Delahaye were also on target. This was the Hornets' 16th defeat and leaves them languishing at the bottom of the table.

Swanage Town & Herston moved away from the bottom two with a single goal win against their visitors . Lee Mullins scored the game's only goal in the 70th minute.

Two sides in the lower regions of the League – Cranborne and Reserves – shared four goals and the points. The Hammers were two goals to the good courtesy of Matthew Head and Jacob Wood but the Cranes came back with goals from Greg O'Mallo and Adam Beatie.

Blandford United moved up a place to 11th following their 3-2 win against Merley . Daniel Vator converted a penalty, while Luke Crane and Robert Manson added a goal apiece for Blandford. Kabba Jack put away a penalty for Merley before Joshua Reavenall- Nuete scored their second.

Reserves are eighth following a 2-0 success at home to seventh-placed Bridport Reserves. The Terras' second string were a goal up at the break and scored a second on 48 minutes to secure all three points.
