Blues Forced To Withdraw From Sussex County League

SIDLEY UNITED have withdrawn from all competitive football ahead of the 2013/14 season.

The Blues were due to compete in Sussex County League Division One but decided to withdraw after the Sports and Social Club that owe their Gullivers ground voted to be liquidated over the weekend.

A statement from the club said: “The club will now look to put a fundrasing drive in place over the next 12 months.

“This is not the end of Sidley United Football Club, the long term future of the club is the most important thing, and the club will now build for the future so they comeback stronger.”
