NEWQUAY AFC have sacked boss Alan Carey.
Carey took over at the South West Peninsula League Premier Division club five months ago but the Peppermints have only won six league games this term.
That poor form has left them 15th in the division and the club’s chairman Graham Hearnshaw has decided a change at the helm is needed.
In a statement posted on the club’s website, Hearnshaw said: “Certain club criteria procedures had not been fully implemented and a change of direction was needed.
“The club would like to than Alan for his efforts this season and reiterated this was a club decision which was not taken lightly. No further comments will be made in this respect.”
