Glover Makes Avenue Switch

DANNY GLOVER has signed for Bradford Park Avenue from Skrill North rivals Worcester City.

The former Port Vale man was in his second spell with Worcester but became frustrated with his lack of first team goals this season and after discussions with the management team has decided to move on.

Worcester boss Carl Heeley was pleased with Glover’s commitment during a trying time for the strugglers and wished the striker well.

He said: “It has been a tough season for Danny and he is bitterly disappointed and frustrated with his goals return of three to date and a fresh challenge might do him good.

“I have a lot of time for the player and appreciate his loyalty in staying with the club during the summer.

“I would like to thank him for all of his efforts and sincerely wish him the best of luck for the rest of this season and in his future career.”

Avenue have also signed defender Ryan Qualter from Evo-Stik NPL Division One North Ossett Town. The 22-year-old was captain for Town and has was once on the books at York City.

Boss John Deacey will be hoping the signings improve the club’s form after losing five of their previous six games.
