DANNY SMITH has left Conference South club Eastleigh.
Smith was in his second spell with the Spitfires as a player and also held the position of football in the community and academy manager.
Speaking about his departure, Eastleigh manager Ian Baird said: “Danny has been a tremendous player for Eastleigh always giving 100% but I felt the time was right for us to go our separate ways. We wish him well.”
The former Bashley, AFC Bournemouth, Winchester and Bognor midfielder has now linked up with Southern League Premier Division newcomers Gosport Borough.
