Richard Fey resigns as Paulton Rovers boss

RICHARD FEY has stepped down as Paulton Rovers manager after failing to win any of the first 14 games in the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier.

Fey stepped up from Southern South & West club Bridgwater Town to replace Nick Bunyard as Paulton boss in May.

However, the club have struggled so far this season, drawing five and losing nine in the league to leave them stranded at the bottom of the pile, already 11 points from safety.

The club announced on Thursday that Fey, as well as assistant Nathan Rudge, has resigned following Tuesday night’s home defeat to Merthyr Town.

Coach Aaron Brown will take charge of training on Thursday evening as well as overseeing Saturday’s game against high-flying Leamington.

A Rovers statement said: “The club would like to express their thanks for the hard work that both Richard and Nathan have done this season and wish them every success in the future.”
