FORMER Leeds United striker Tresor Kandol has joined Vanarama National League South side Bishop’s Stortford.

The 34-year-old ex-DR Congo international has signed for Rod Stringer’s men after loanee Charlie Sheringham returned to parent club Ebbsfleet United.

His goalscoring exploits with the Bees caught the eye of Leeds and he joined the Elland Road club in November 2006, initially on loan before making his stay permanent.

After three years with the Whites, he had spells with Millwall and Charlton before joining Spanish second division side Albacete in 2010.

He later played for Hampton & Richmond Borough and Stringer will be hoping he can rediscover his scoring form for the Blues.

Kandol was expected to be in the Stortford squad for Tuesday night’s game at Leverstock Green in the Herts Senior Cup.
