THE race to be the leading scorer at Steps 1 to 3 of the Non-League Pyramid is really hotting up.

Kristian Dennis, the striker on loan at Macclesfield Town from National League North side Stockport County, just can’t stop scoring at the higher level.

Hanging onto his coattails, however, are a striker from each of the feeder leagues with Liam Hardy in great form for Buxton in the Evo-Stik NPL Premier, Jason Prior banging them in for Bognor Regis in the Ryman and maths teacher Tom Meechan totting them up for St Neots Town in the Southern League.

Up to and including Wednesday, January 6

No James Poole of Salford City?
He’s on 15, 11 in the league and 4 in the FA Cup!

There were quite a few players on 15 goals and unfortunately James just missed the cut due to lack of space. Thanks for letting us know, though!
