FORMER England U16 international and Liverpool youngster David Moli has signed a deal with National League North side Nuneaton Town.

The 21-year-old striker was a highly regarded prospect and was snapped up as a 14-year-old by Liverpool for an undisclosed fee from Luton Town.

He was prolific for the Reds’ youth sides but never made the breakthrough to the first team and signed for Wolves in January 2012.

Moli again struggled to get minutes at first team level and was eventually released by the West Midlands outfit at the end of the 2013-14 campaign.

He spent last season in the French fourth tier with SAS Epinal but has returned to England to prove a point.

Nuneaton boss Kevin Wilson told the club’s website: “I tried to sign David for the Boro last summer, but we couldn’t get the deal over the line back then.

“I’m delighted to have got him this time around. He has a great pedigree, but needs to knuckle down now and show everyone what we know he can do. He’s a natural goal scorer and I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Moli added: “It’s good to be here. I like the set up and I want to play games and score goals for the club.”
