Kent Police have arrested a man for alleged racist remarks aimed at an Ebbsfleet United player during Boxing Day’s match against Bromley.
According to Kent Online, the player on the receiving end of the abuse was Ebbsfleet United goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore, who received a yellow card for going to confront the individual who ended the day in custody.
The Police have made no further comment other than to confirm the man is 20 years old and from Biggin Hill, while both clubs are yet to comment on the matter.
The hosts took all three points in the derby match, as goals from Jack Powell and Danny Kedwell handed Fleet a 2-1 victory at the Kuflink Stadium.
