Fantasy Non-League Update – April 21, 2018

Welcome to the latest update of Fantasy Non-League 2017/18. Today’s update covers the period Sunday 15th April 2018 through to Saturday 21st April 2018.
Tomorrow is the final day of our last FNL Manager of the Month of the season. So, who is in the running for the April 2018 Manager of the Month.
Leading the way now is CreevyTennant with 2,519pts they are just 17pts ahead of second placed Uxbridge Amblers and 30pts ahead of third placed Irongate Carliol. The top ten is currently covered by just 78pts. In fact, the
top 25 is only covered by 129pts so it could be a very tight finish with anyone in the top ten or even lower grabbing those top two places.
The battle for bottom spot this month is just as close as only 4pts separate the bottom two teams. At the bottom is Ashby
Rovers with 840pts and only 4pts better off is Barney’s Clowns. The bottom five is covered by 86pts.
Finally, I have been contacted several times over this past week about the end of the season bonuses and The Mixture. I have been asked if all the teams that win their respective leagues that feature in the Mixture whether they will all receive the 250pts end of season bonus.
The answer is no. Let me explain The Mixture is treated as a single league as far as the FNL goes. So, if all the six leagues that are included in the Mixture were won by teams in the FNL competition the team with the best overall league record will be the winner and claim the End of Season bonus. In fact, a good example of this would be the following.
Let us say Taunton Town win their league with a record of Played 46, won 30, Drew 7 and lost 9 which would give them a points total of 97pts.
Then South Shields finished their league campaign in second place with a record of Played 46, Won 30, Drew 8 and lost 8 which would give them a total of 98pts. Even though South Shields finished 2nd in their league they would have beaten Taunton on their league record in the Mixture and would, therefore, get the end of season bonus.
Also, of course, the lowest placed team in The Mixture will win the -100pts even if they don’t finish bottom of their league. I hope that makes sense.
