CHELMSFORD kept up their promotion charge with a comfortable victory over Hampton & Richmond Borough.
The Clarets took the lead in the ninth minute with their first attack. Chris Dickson made space down the right and his cross into the box was met by Kane Haysman, whose header floated and bounced into the net past Hampton keeper Sam Howes.
The Clarets extended their lead on the half hour as Louie Theophanous drilled the ball past Howes from the edge of the box.
