East Thurrock condemned the Seagulls to a sixth straight defeat in a poor game at The Woodspring Stadium.
But the Seagulls should have taken the lead early on when Jacob Cane had a golden opportunity.
Lloyd Humphries’ ball into the box found the midfielder, but Lukas Lidakevicius was on hand to parry the shot out for a corner.
