CHORLEY edged out United to help manager Matt Jansen celebrate his 40th birthday with three precious points.
Fresh from their midweek FA Cup exploits that set up a live TV clash with Fleetwood, Nick Haughton once again showed his class.
Wind and rain had the biggest say in a match which fully tested the character of both teams and Jansen was particularly pleased to see his side triumph after their midweek FA Cup replay exertions.
