HASTINGS UNITED stretched their unbeaten run to six matches with this victory. The hosts should have had the game won at the break with Dayshonne Golding and Calum Davies hitting the woodwork. Ansu Janneh gave Hastings the lead on 18 minutes with a strike from outside the area, Davies adding a second seven minutes later.
VCD reduced the deficit on 57 minutes when Ellis Brown bundled the ball home. Hastings defend stoutly and should have increased their lead late on.
