FARNBOROUGH say they are “extremely hopeful” that they won’t face punishment despite being charged for failing to fulfil their FA Trophy secondround replay at Banbury United on Tuesday night. The referee called the postponement of the match at 8.40pm after a serious accident forced the closure of a section of the M1, causing six travelling Farnborough players to miss the kick-off.
