AFC RUSHDEN & Diamonds battled out an entertaining draw.
Both sides came into the game firmly in the play-off race, with one point separating Rushden in fourth and Alvechurch in sixth.
It was the home side who made the dream start, when a long ball found Samuel Johnson who fired past Dan Crane.
Despite this setback, Alvechurch continued to play good football and Aaron Llyod forced a save from Ben Heath while Mitch Botfield fired over the bar.
Kieran Cook then had Alvechurch’s best two chances of the half but was denied.
