ALTRINCHAM fired in seven goals to inflict Alfreton with their worst-ever home defeat in this six-pointer in the battle for play-off places.
The Reds had the first, and their only chance, of the game when Josh Clackstone hit a loose ball goalwards, but Alty keeper Tony Thompson was equal to it.
But once Yusifu Ceesay opened the scoring in the eighth minute, the Robins never looked back.
Home stopper Sam Ramsbottom misjudged a cross to leave Ceesay with a great chance, and though his header bounced back off the bar, he scored at the second attempt...
