It’s full circle with Bluebirds

ON DECEMBER 19, 1970 I completed my tour of ‘the 92’ Football League grounds by attending the League Division 4 match Barrow v Notts County at Holker Street - a 2-1 win for County watched by 2,672.
Of course Barrow were (very unfairly) voted out of the Football League in 1972 by the other member clubs.
It was widely known that clubs from the south, in particular, hated this lengthy away journey, instead preferring a trip to Hereford, the club voted in to replace Barrow and while the euphoria of Ricky George’s famous FA Cup winner against Newcastle still fresh in the public...
