Atton’s the hero as Blues squeeze Spitfires

Goalkeeper Alex Atton was the Blues’ shootout hero, saving Eastleigh’s penultimate penalty, which allowed Drew Lowe to stroke home the winning spot kick, much to the delight of coach Calum McIntyre and his side.

CHESTER’S Under-19’s won the National League Alliance Cup for the second time with a dramatic penalty shootout win over Eastleigh at the Sixways Stadium.
Goalkeeper Alex Atton was the Blues’ shootout hero, saving Eastleigh’s penultimate penalty, which allowed Drew Lowe to stroke home the winning spot kick, much to the delight of coach Calum McIntyre and his side.
Bailey Sloane fired Chester in front on 13 minutes, only for Eastleigh’s Luke Hooper to cancel it out 12 minutes later and set up a tense finale in Worcester.
