WITH England star Declan Rice proudly nestled amongst their burgeoning fanbase, SE Dons FC have become a global phenomenon thanks to the huge YouTube impact on grassroots football.
The Orpington and Bromley District Sunday League club were only formed in 2014 but they already have 199,000 subscribers to their YouTube channel with some match videos viewed more than 400,000 times online.
Last week, I went to see SE Dons play at their home venue – an outside pitch next to the proposed new Cray Wanderers’ stadium site at Flamingo Park.
