Stars are out to honour Haliax Town and Chorley legend James Dean

To mark the occasion, two special teams have been put together. Chorley, with former boss Garry Flitcroft in charge, will include Andy Teague, current boss Jamie Vermiglio and Mark Ross.

FORMER FC Halifax Town and Chorley striker James Dean will be remembered this afternoon in a special memorial game.

Dean passed away in May prompting an outpouring of emotion from former clubs and teammates.

To mark the occasion, two special teams have been put together. Chorley, with former boss Garry Flitcroft in charge, will include Andy Teague, current boss Jamie Vermiglio and Mark Ross.

A Neil Aspin managed Halifax have Liam Hogan, Lois Maynard and Dean’s close friend Tom Baker, among many others.

Gates at Chorley’s Victory Park open at 10am, there will be live music throughout the day, Leeds United legend Eddie Gray as a guest speaker, plus an auction with the Memorial Trophy match kicking off at 2pm.
