SAM Hatton made Leatherhead pay for their penalty profligacy when his 90th-minute goal gave Wingate all three points in the Surrey countryside.
Wingate led on six minutes when Bilal Sayoud curled an excellent free-kick into the top lefthand corner past diving Tanners keeper Jacob Bennett.
The Tanners were given a 10th-minute penalty opportunity to speedily reply after a foul on Bayley Mummery.
But Alexander Sami’s penalty was well saved by Gate keeper Ben Goode down to his right.
