MATLOCK TOWN made it four wins from five in the league.
Jesurun Uchegbulam rode two challenges to fire the Gladiators into the lead on the stroke of half-time, and sub Callum Chippendale made sure of the points 14 minutes from time.
After losing their season opener to Ashton, Matlock have now won four successive games and were rarely troubled by the Yellows.
Alex Wiles flashed a shot wide and Uchebeulam also had a chance before the frontman beat Matt Regan and Mark Roberts to steer past Dan Atherton in the final minute of the first half.
