LEWIS Byrne Hewitt ended his and Brightlingsea’s frustration with offside flags by grabbing the only goal of a dour contest against Surrey side Leatherhead.
The Rs had the majority of what few chances were going and found the net three times in the first 25 minutes.
However, the first two efforts were deemed offside; Byrne Hewitt’s own whipped shot into the top corner on six minutes, and Charlie Durling’s 20th-minute header from Max Booth’s cross.
