■ ASHFORD we’re undone by a very competitive Bedfont side. Lining up without a few key players always makes it hard, and the visitors possibly had the better chances.
The first half was an even affair until Bedfont grabbed the lead through Darryl Sanders. Ashford levelled things up after 38 minutes through Matt Bunyan. But the visitors then regained their lead in first half injury time with a close-range header by Connagh Wilks.
A string of saves from Shay Honey on his debut for Ashford kept Bedfont at bay.
