A GOAL either side of the half-time break enabled Thatcham to claim a surprise win at Imperial Fields, and continue the home side’s miserable start to the season.
Both keepers were called into action early with Chris Rackley tipping a Daniel Williams header round a post, and Gary Ross saving well with his legs from Alex Miller. Thatcham took the lead just before half-time when Balai Dembele took advantage of confusion in the home defence to slot the ball past Ross.
