■ CANVEY edged this tightly contested match thanks to a second-half winner from Elliott Ronto.
But it was Felixstowe who nearly took the lead after 23 minutes when Armani Schaar closed down an attempted clearance by goalkeeper Bobby Mason. Schaar headed the rebound towards goal, but Mason recovered to turn the ball behind for a corner.
