A SPECTACULAR strike from Alex Babos was all that separated Banbury United and Ardley in this local derby. Banbury, looking to emulate last year’s cup heroics, were made to work hard to overcome their Level 5 opponents.
Chris Jordan sent in a low effort from distance that went just wide for the visitors in the tenth minute.
At the other end, Henry Landers fired wide for Banbury.
A slick Banbury move saw Freddy Lapworth deny Morgan Roberts from close range on 18 minutes.
