THE FLOODLIGHT failure five minutes into the second half that saw this encounter abandoned can only have come as a welcome relief for hosts who’d trailed to a Braintree side who were growing into the game.
The darkness that descended in south west London was in stark contrast to the Beavers’ bright start.
Within five minutes ofkicking off they’d won a penalty but Sam Deadfield’s spot-kick was easily saved by the impressive Matt Johnson in the Iron goal.
