■LEEK Town celebrated the opening of their new 3G pitch with a deserved point. Leek old boy ex-England international Mark Bright officially kicked off the first match at Harrison Park.
A large crowd of over 800 saw an end-to-end start to the game, with both teams having chances to score.
Then, after 27 minutes, a slip-up by Leek’s Josh Brownhill saw Nathan Morley tap in to put the visitors ahead.
In the second period, Leek dominated from the start, and within two minutes Tim Grice equalised following some great play from Danny Trickett-Smith.
